Your First Project
Create your first Kamay project and start working
Why Use Project Space?
Project space is for long-term work around the same product, brand, or marketing campaign. Compared with one-off regular conversations, a project keeps materials, documents, generated results, and related conversations together so you can reuse them later.
- Centralize Resources: Product images, videos, PDF files, documents, links, and generated content can all stay in one project.
- Continue Project Context: Project conversations can keep analyzing, generating, and iterating around project resources.
- Preserve Work History: Project conversations are retained so you can return to earlier analysis or creative directions.
Tip If you only need to ask a temporary question, start with a regular conversation. If you need to manage the same materials or generated results over time, create a project.
Create a Project
Step 1: Open the Project List
- Log in to Kamay.
- Find Recent Projects in the left sidebar.
- Click View All Projects to open My Projects.
Step 2: Click "New Project"
On the My Projects page, click the dashed New Project card.
Step 3: Fill in Project Information
- Project Name: For example "DEWBU Heated Jacket"
- Project Description: For example "Generate Amazon and TikTok materials for DEWBU brand heated jackets"
- Project Instructions: Optional rules the AI should keep following in this project, such as brand tone, banned wording, visual style, or material requirements.
Tip The project name appears in the project list, project switcher, and project workspace header. A "brand + product/campaign" format is easier to search later.
Step 4: Complete Creation
Click Create Project. After the project is created, Kamay opens the new project workspace automatically.
If you do not want to create it yet, click Cancel or close the dialog.
Add Your First Project Resource
After creating a project, the left side is the Project Resources area. For your first project, start by uploading a product image, brand guideline, or competitor material so the project conversation has something to reference.
Resource Types You Can Add
Common resource types include:
| Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Image | Image material or AI-generated image | Product image, main image, reference image |
| Video / TikTok Video | Video material or video analysis result | Ad video, TikTok reference video |
| Document / PDF | Documents and reports | Brand guideline, research report, material brief |
| Webpage / Link | Web content or external link | Competitor page, reference material |
| Amazon Product | Product data resource | ASIN, price, rating, review information |
Upload a File
- Click Add in the Project Resources area.
- Choose Upload File.
- Select one or more files in the system file picker.
- After upload succeeds, the files appear in the project resource list, and the first uploaded file opens automatically.
You can also use Add to create a Markdown document or folder. For organizing, moving, deleting, and batch operations, see Asset Management.
Work in a Project
The project workspace has three main areas:
- Left Project Resources: Upload, search, filter, and organize resources.
- Middle Resource Canvas / Preview Area: View files, images, videos, documents, and generated content.
- Right Project Conversation: Ask AI questions, generate materials, or continue analysis around project content.

Example 1: Generate Variants Based on Existing Materials
Suppose you have already added some product images to the project:
- Click the product image in Project Resources.
- Confirm the image content in the middle preview area.
- Enter in the right Project Conversation:
Based on this product image, help me generate 5 vertical 9:16 versions suitable for TikTok.
- After generation completes, you can continue viewing, editing, or saving the result to the project.
Example 2: Generate Materials Based on Brand Guidelines
Suppose you have added brand guideline documents to the project:
- Open the brand guideline document in Project Resources.
- Enter in Project Conversation:
Based on the brand guideline in this project, generate an Amazon main image concept for the heated jacket. The style should be professional, clean, and tech-forward.
- Kamay generates suggestions or materials based on the project resources and conversation.
Example 3: Analyze Competitors and Generate Creative Ideas
Suppose you have added competitor materials to the project:
- View competitor resources in Project Resources.
- Enter in Project Conversation:
Analyze how these competitor materials express selling points, then generate 3 differentiated main image directions for our product.
- You can keep refining the result in the conversation or save it back to the project for long-term management.
Tip To help AI reference a resource more accurately, open it in the resource area first, or mention the file name clearly in the conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can conversation space and project space be converted?
Images, videos, reports, and other content generated in regular conversations can be saved to a project. Project conversations stay inside the project so you can keep working around the same context.
Can I switch between projects?
Yes. Click the current project name at the top of the project workspace to search and switch recent projects, or open View All Projects.
Can project information be edited?
Yes. Click the more button next to the project name at the top of the project workspace, then choose Edit to update the project name, description, and instructions.
Can a deleted project be restored?
The current delete flow shows a confirmation dialog and warns that the operation cannot be undone. Before deleting, make sure you no longer need the project's resources or conversations.
What if upload fails?
If upload fails, check that the file does not exceed the size limit shown on the page and that your network is stable. You can try compressing the file, uploading fewer files at once, or trying again later.
